KnCMiner Announces Cloud Mining Program and More Updates
In the latest announcement from KnCMiner, a Bitcoin mining manufacturer, the company has announced the start of its cloud hosted mining program and data center in Sweden. The mining company also announced updates to its upcoming scrypt miner which will allow over three times the hashing power that is being offered by competing mining hardware.
About the upcoming Titan miners, the hardware will have four “groundbreaking chips” installed to allow the hardware to perform at 300MH/s instead of the 250 MH/s that was estimated previously. The new specs of the Titan are:
• 4 chips with 2284 cores each — truly record-breaking numbers in this space.
• 18272 threads per chip.
• 300 MB of onboard memory.
This means that the Titan miner will have 9136 cores that run 73088 threads in all. More information regarding this will be announced over the next couple of weeks.
KnCMiner Cloud Mining Program
In other news, the KnC Cloud, KnCMiner’s hosted mining and block chain data center based in northern Sweden, will go live shortly. As was said in a prior announcement, the customers who’ve pre-ordered Neptune mining hardware will be offered access to the KnC Cloud according to their queue.
KncMiner ensures that there will be no delays in Neptune shipments as the mining company is still planning a Q2 2014 delivery. More information regarding the Neptunes and the KnC Cloud will be announced in a later newsletter.
Concluding the announcement, KnCMiner reminds customers that it is giving an extra Neptune miner to every pre-ordered Neptune in batch one and two. These extra machines will come from KnCMiner’s batch three production which is aimed for an August shipment.
Those who’ve pre-ordered Neptune in batch one or two do not need to contact KnCMiner as the mining company writes that no further action is needed to get the second Neptune. This decision was made by KnCMiner as a result of angry customers who did not get their Neptune delivered on time.
