Domenic Carosa, the Future Capital Bitcoin Fund’s chairman, and co-founder said about Bitcoin,
“Bitcoin has the potential to dramatically alter the manner in which transactions take place across the globe and the power to create new modes of financial connectivity, seamlessly across border.”
The Australian Bitcoin fund will begin operating in May, but has already started accepting investments from around the world. The company accepts investments in AUD, RMB, USD, and Bitcoin. It is also looking forward to hearing from interested companies who wish to receive investment. Carosa said,
“Australia has low sovereign risk and a globally trusted financial system. This is a very exciting opportunity for global investors to participate in the Bitcoin ecosystem via Future Capital’s Bitcoin Fund.”
Those who wish to apply for funding will have to go by Holger Arians, the investment manager of the Future Capital Bitcoin Fund. Arians has experience in corporate financing and strategy. He believes that Bitcoin “will change the way we live, travel and do business.” Arians also feels that in the last ten years, digital currencies are “probably the most disruptive innovation [he has] seen.” Speaking about investment, Arians said,
“We are already actively participating in the evolving Bitcoin space and we see it is at an inflection point and ready for seasoned investors to assist in bringing financial and entrepreneurial experience to this market.”
Under the Australian Venture Capital Act 2002, the Future Capital Bitcoin Fund is registered conditionally as an Early Stage Venture Capital Limited Partnership. This means that fund’s investors will have tax free returns on both capital and income.
In order to promote the company, Carosa will be present at the European Bitcoin Conference in Amsterdam. Arians will be present at the Global Bitcoin Summit in Beijing.
