99Bitcoins presents imaginative bills for popular cryptocurrencies
Bitcoin tutorial site 99Bitcoins has introduced imaginative paper money for bitcoin (BTC), ether (ETH / Ethereum), ripple (XRP), litecoin (LTC), IOTA, monero (XMR), dashcoin (DASH), dogecoin (DOGE), stellar (XLM) and zcash (ZEC).
This is how the imaginative legal tender representations of the 10 popular cryptocurrencies by 99Bitcoins look:
- Bitcoin (BTC)
- Ether (ETH / Ethereum)
- Ripple (XRP)
- Litecoin (LTC)
- IOTA
- Monero (XMR)
- Dash (DASH)
- Dogecoin (DOGE)
- Stellar (XLM)
- Zcash (ZEC)
99Bitcoins commissioned the design of the bills to Manchester, UK-based content creation and promotion agency NeoMam Studios.
“With all of the ups, downs and new coins constantly popping up in the market – sometimes the world of cryptocurrency doesn’t even sound real,” said NeoNam in an email it sent to CoinReport. “But the truth is that cryptocurrencies are very real; so much so that over the last year people have not only been trading crypto but also buying things in the real world with it. With this project we want to make a point of showing crypto in a way in which people can see them for what they really are: money.”
The team that worked on the project includes; from NeoNam; Danny Ashton (concept), Amy Ashton (research and copy), Povilas Daknys (designs) and Mike Nudelman (overall art direction); from 99Bitcoins; general manager Ofir Beigel, who helped the team choose the coins and define the branding elements.
Beigel said on the occasion, “Cryptocurrency has taken the FinTech world – and the media – by storm. From Bitcoin to Zcash, Dogecoin to Monero, cryptocurrencies are being used for everything from charitable donations and social media tips to billion dollar institutional investments. And yet, despite their popularity, the novelty and complexity of cryptocurrencies make them difficult for newcomers to grasp. There’s lots to be learned about this relatively new category of currency, so we used each of their stories to imagine what they might look like as cold, hard cash.”

This is such a cool idea! And they’ve created such nice looking bills – they look so real. I like Monero and Bitcoin best. I read 99Bitcoins from time to time but I missed this post so thanks for sharing.
