Robocoin Says Big News Coming, Ships 35 Bitcoin ATMs Worldwide
Robocoin, the maker of the world’s very first bitcoin ATM, has announced that it has shipped a total of 35 ATMs worldwide. They added that before summer gets under way, the team plans on shipping an additional 50 units.
But that’s not all. According to newsBTC, the manufacturer says “something big” will be revealed on the first of May.
Robocoin Plans & Big News
As bitcoin ATMs continue to venture out across all corners of the world, they show no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Robocoin’s Jordan Kelley stated:
“Robocoins are live in Japan, Australia, London, Israel, Singapore, Canada and the United States (Texas, California and now South Carolina). There are 13 Robocoins in operation exchanging bitcoins for Yen, Australian Dollars, Pounds, Singapore Dollars, Shekels, Canadian Dollars and US Dollars respectively.”
He adds that more units are going online and have been making their way to places like Italy, Mexico, Hong Kong and Ireland, with more still to come.
Robocoin continues to grow in numbers, both in terms of units being made and employees joining the team. Kelley says the team has added its eighth member to its headquarters.
He included:
“We also teamed up with a top design firm in the southwest and are still working with the best kiosk factory in the U.S. Along with our eight full-timers, we now have over 20 partners, contractors and vendors supporting Robocoin’s efforts.”
ATM & Mobile Innovation Summit
In similar news, Robocoin representatives will be taking part in the second annual ATM & Mobile Innovation Summit this September in Washington DC.
More than 40 speakers are expected to give presentations at the summit, ranging from payment processing companies to bitcoin ATM manufacturers. The ATM & Mobile Innovation Summit was designed for financial institutions to share and communicate directly with one another.
It will be interesting to hear what the company’s big news will be. We will just have to wait and see what Kelley and his team reveal on the first of next month.
