Perseus Telecom Teams With GoCoin to Accept Bitcoin
Perseus Telecom Welcomes BTC
Perseus Telecom Ltd. is a telecommunications provider that looks to support businesses in different fields. The provider has just recently begun to accept the bitcoin currency, and has offices located in Brazil and Ireland.
It’s network works with top trading centers from New York, Dublin, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Moscow, Tokyo and Stockholm.
Perseus Telecom will work together with GoCoin Pte to introduce bitcoin payment options to their company. GoCoin provides merchant and processing services for bitcoin, based out of California and Singapore.
Chief Executive Officer Jock Percy of Perseus Telecom says that an emerging market such as bitcoin requires faster transactions and processing. He says:
“It can take three, four or five days to clear transactions between locations in emerging markets. This suits our emerging-markets presence. They will be faster to adopt the virtual currencies.”
Percy joined the organization back in 2010.
The telecommunications channel provides security and global stock exchanges. In addition, the company is looking into expanding their business in the gaming genre, as more and more games allow players to pay in bitcoin.
Percy’s company is definitely a step in the right direction for bitcoin to continue gaining momentum, as it looks to make it to the mainstream.
GoCoin
GoCoin was founded in 2013, and serves in the payment processing industry as one of the new kids on the block. In November of last year, the company raised $550,000 from seed funds in part from Facebook COO Sheryl K. Sandberg. In January, GoCoin became one of the first bitcoin processor company’s to adopt litecoin.
Chairman Brock Pierce says that the traditional payment processing industry is understanding that bitcoin is “something that they should at least be thinking about”.
As more business adopt bitcoin, the future looks brighter each day for digital currency enthusiasts. Other businesses who have not yet jumped on board with bitcoin should do so, sooner rather than later.
Businesses such as comic book stores, newsstands and online retailers like TigerDirect are only the start of something huge to come for the entire virtual currency community.
