Bitcoin.org says ‘The World is Going to Change’

Last night the bitcoin reddit community was abuzz discussing the topic of how more people around the world will have access to Bitcoin.org in their native languages.

The reddit thread reads:

“As of this month, there are now literally billions of people on Earth that can arrive on Bitcoin.org – the original domain used with the first Bitcoin website and also a leading search engine result for the keyword – and view it automatically by default in their own native language.

To make this possible, more than 500 contributors will be participating. Since the introduction of bitcoin, nothing has come close in comparison of the worldly effect the digital currency has had on people.

Such languages include Arabic, Dutch, French, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Korean, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovenian, Spanish, Chinese, Hindi, Russian, Bulgarian, Italian, Japanese, Swedish, Turkish and Polish.

All languages are either fully translated from English, or are being closely reviewed and near to completion.

Additionally, more than 35 languages are expected to be translated on the site soon. Following those 35 plus languages will be even more, showing how far and wide Bitcoin.org will be able to spread to.

Saïvann Carignan is credited with following through with this effort, showing that through bitcoin change is a beautiful thing.

By tending to users in more than one language, bitcoin’s meaning to people of all parts of the world proves that it is not just a concept, but a means for the people to use money.
