Exclusive: Cloudbet to launch mobile casino

Cloudbet, a company that offers Bitcoin gambling services, is planning to release a mobile Bitcoin casino app this week, aiming to be the first company to issue such a product with substantial functionality. They plan to eventually release a mobile sportsbook as well, in an attempt to meet or exceed the services offered by traditional, browser-based sports betting services.

Speaking to CoinReport, Cloudbet described its new mobile casino in some detail. The platform will include more than twenty games, including blackjack, roulette, and a number of slot machine variations. Cloudbet told CoinReport that they plan to offer a competitive minimum bet of 1 milliBTC for blackjack (about sixty cents), and three milliBTC for roulette. They also plan to offer the ability to withdraw balances from your phone, something that they say none of their competitors can match. The company plans to support Android, iOS, and Windows Mobile.

Bitcoin gambling has been experiencing something of a boom recently, as the anonymity, security, and ease of Bitcoin lend themselves well to the practical and legal limitations of conventional online gambling. A number of sites have cropped of, of varying credibilities, all of them offering the same basic promise: the opportunity to gamble freely without inconvenience or government intervention.
