Blockpool, OpSec to build DLT security apps
UK-based blockchain / distributed ledger technology (DLT) developer Blockpool and OpSec Security, a prominent worldwide provider of brand protection and anti-counterfeiting solutions, have teamed up to institute an incorporated offer merging “chain-of-custody” with cutting-edge digital product validation solutions for worldwide brand protection.
Blockpool released its first product in 2009 and was soon regarded as a specialist in utilizing DLT in real world offers. The company’s API is pretty flexible and user-friendly. Its employees together have decades of marketing, tech and music industry experience.
OpSec, on the other hand, was set up more than thirty years ago. Today, the company is considered a market leader having worked with thousands of the world’s top brands, security printers and government agencies to offer all-inclusive security solutions to fight increasing counterfeiting business challenges.
OpSec Security CTO Ben Stump said in a press release CoinReport received, “We’re in an age where counterfeiting exists in the everyday lives of consumers.
“Adding blockchain technologies to our track/trace and consumer engagement platforms will provide an enhanced layer of security and confidence for both brands and consumers alike.”
OpSec will exploit OpSec InSight™, the firm’s industry-leading product lifecycle platform, to incorporate with Blockpool’s “chain-of-custody” solutions. Brands, as a result, will be able to increase reporting precision and produce new, matchless consumer engagement prospects employing innovative security labels and tags.
Blockpool CEO Kevin Bacon commented, “Blockchain technologies can be leveraged to provide greater supply chain visibility and combat the distribution of counterfeit products, especially over the internet. Brands want to ensure that their products are protected and reward their customers for loyalty.”
Blockpool CTO Ken Foster added, “Distributed Ledger Technology, and in particular blockchain, is already promising to heavily disrupt the way supply chains are controlled and vetted. By partnering with OpSec, we can provide a perfect synergy of online and offline technologies.”
